The EduTrust Certification Scheme allows private educational institutions to seek certification. It’s a quality control system that identifies private schools that regularly provide education services of high quality and make adjustments that contribute to favorable results for students.
Edutrust’s Certification Criteria
There are seven criteria to meet to be certified by EduTrust. Sub-criteria and objects under each standard, with explanations explaining the requirements for each one.
- The Management’s Commitment And Responsibility
This criterion examines how the PEI displays its commitment to accomplishing its objective and its intentions for the future.”
- Corporate Governance And Administration
This criterion assesses how the PEI achieves efficiency and effectiveness in the administration of administrative operations and resources, external partnerships, corporate governance, communication procedures, information management and confidentiality, and feedback and complaints.
- External Recruiting Agents
This criterion examines how the PEI effectively selects, manages, and evaluates its local and international external recruitment agents. It ensures that the agents give outstanding service to prospective students and do not engage in dishonest or unethical conduct.
- Students’ Safety And Support Services
Student contracts and refunds, course transfer, withdrawal, and deferment processes are all examined in this criterion. Students’ well-being is part of the PEI’s promotion of holistic education.
- Students Follow Established Academic Procedures
As part of this evaluation, we examine the PEI’s methods for ensuring that the courses it provides meet students’ and industry’s needs and expectations. Analyzes how PEI selects and admits competent students to its systems, how assessment evaluates student learning outcomes, and how PEI regulates and monitors academic staff lesson delivery and student learning. It looks at these things.
- Quality Control, Monitoring, And Outcomes
This criterion examines the PEI’s quality assurance requirements for developing a regular monitoring, review, and improvement system to ensure that systems and processes are correct.
Enhanced Registration Framework
Registration as a Private Education Institution and compliance with the edutrust certification registration framework is required to provide the following types of education in Singapore (ERF).
- Degree- or certificate-based education
- A certificate signifying completion of postsecondary education;
- The provision of a full-time primary or secondary education on a foreign or international curriculum.
- A full-time program for students with physical or mental disabilities;
- Pupils full-time schooling to prepare them for any exam.
